On a different note, A market tote?

When possible I try to submit a few changes to my life in order to be a better me. This new year I decided to make some knit bags to carry groceries home in order to save on plastic and paper bags. This photo may not do the size of the bag justice, but neither did the pattern I worked from. It became clear early on that this bag wasn't going to hold any groceries. Fortunately, it was just about time to replace my Santa handbag from December, so I threw my wallet and other belongings (minus pens) into this mini tote and now proudly carry my work around with me, literally. The mechanics of the bag work as planned, the mesh body stretches quite well, I occassionally have to push my keys and glasses back through the holes, and the bottom and handles are pretty sturdy. My next attempt will have the necessary adjustments for a real market size tote, beginning with a larger spiral bottom and the rest of the bag will follow suit.
