From NC? Tarrrrheel socks

My earnest desire to have Christmas gifts, again this year, I began knitting through November and December. These are actually the second pair of UNC Tarheel socks I've made, so I guess you could say they were the 2.0 version. The leg of the socks had a simple 3/2 ribbing and each heel was adorned with a bit of 'tar' for a liittle extra southern spirit. Even if you're not a fan of professional sports, like me, these socks are a great addition to any proud Tarheel state native. I may have been born in the Sunshine state of Florida, but North Carolina has been my home for the last 24 years. I am proud to be a GRIT who knits!
