Winter Wonderland Fingerless Mitts

When I felt I had mastered the art of sock making from top down to bottom up to flat and sewn up the back, I really enjoy cables, to look at and to knit, they are easier than they look, but these cables in particular are intracately overlapped to give the mitts an Irish appeal to them. One of my bucket list items is a trip to Ireland. I've always adored the geography, culture, accent, and authentic Irish design.
These mitts are thick and a little longer in the finger 'slot'. I imagine them used as a casual accessory in the winter, as well as, having a sort of formal appearance.
